THE TEST OF OUR RELIGION

Imagine that you are making application for heaven. What would you list as your qualifications?

-I have always believed in God
-I’m thought of as a religious person.
-I have tried to live a good life.
-I have been baptized.
-I go to church.
-I haven’t done anything really bad.
-iI have friends who will vouch over me.

If you were to list any of those qualifications on an application for heaven, it would indicate that you don’t understand the worthlessness of religion.The only application that would be accepted by heaven would be one on which you listed your qualificationas follows:

-I can cite no merit of my own.
-I have been a sinner from birth.
-I am coming not in my name but in Christ’s.
I believe Jesus is the Son of God and my Savior.
I have accepted His sacrifice for my sins.
I believe He rose from the dead.I have put my trust in Jesus Christ to save me.

This is the confidence of the apostle Paul who to distinguish between religion and Christ wrote, For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast for we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.(Ephesians 2:8-10)

I’m so blessed with these song.I’ve been playing it over and over these past days.Truly that God’s hand is always open for everyone…part of the song say’s “I ASK YOU HOW MANY TIMES WILL YOU PICK ME UP, WHEN I KEEP ON LETTING YOU DOWN,EACH TIME I WILL FALL SHORT OF YOUR GLORY HOW FAR WILL FORGIVENESS ABOUND……AND YOU ANSWER MY CHILD I LOVE YOU, AND AS LONG AS YOU’RE SEEKING MY FACE , YOU’LL WALK IN THE POWER OF MY DAILY SUFFICIENT GRACE”..
In every area of our daily lives, God is always there for us. 1 Peter 5:7 says He cares for us. Just cling to His promises always.

The first gift you give your child…

….is a name. It is also the most enduring gift you’ll ever give-a lifelong present that conveys meaning, a sense of identity, and often carries forward family connections and traditions.

My friend once ask me if ever you have the opportunity to change your name what will that be? I said I love my name i don’t wanna change it because it’s fame. And it carries a very special significance. It’s very exciting when me and my husband are trying to think of our baby’s name, of course we are also praying for it. We tried to jot down and search for different names too.

We named our baby “NATHANIEL ELIJAH” The meaning for Nathaniel is given by God and for Elijah meaning the Lord my God. His name is really a gift from God.

WHAT’S IN A FLOWER?

I was so much surprised when my husband gave me a bunch of beautiful and colorful flowers when I woke up in the morning! It made me feel so special and loved. My husband said it makes him feel good when he makes me feel and happy and loved by giving me flowers. So what’s in a flower? It’s the essence of love and beauty.

I love this movie Simon Birch, it made me cry many times. It’s a story of a little boy with stunted growth who is convinced that God has a great purpose for him. It’s a story of great friendship, struggles, and triumpth! See it for yourself, it’s really nice.

A great place to eat

One of my favorite places to eat here in New Mexico is Taco Cabana. It’s absolutely a great place to eat and enjoy fellowship with family and friends. After church as a family we usually eat there outside on the patio under the shade of the tree. They serve mexican foods and my favorite is the fajitas with steak. Each bite of fajitas makes me feel as though I’m floating on the clouds. They freshly prepare their tortillas every day, it’s so fresh and delicious. In tagalog it’s masarap or in spanish, delicioso! My husbands favorite is the burritos. He loves to put green chili on top and eat sliced jalapeno on the side. It’s so spicy and delicious! Recently I read in the readers digest that eating mexican foods keeps you away from any breast cancer disease. I’m not sure if it’s true but it’s just one more reason to love and enjoy mexican food. Hope to see you there!

God is just a short prayer away..

If we need someone to talk to, if we need comfort in times of trials and pain, if we need satisfaction, if we are not feeling good or sick, if we need love and care, talk to God. He is just a short prayer away. He is everything, it’s awesome!

I like this saying that God is just a short prayer away. We don’t need a battery, cell phone, or load to talk to Him. It’s free! He is always waiting for us, every moment of every day.

I put this saying on a beautiful piece of paper and posted it in front of our door so every time I open the door it will remind me to talk to him first. It always makes me smile before starting the day.
